The Greatest Faith Ever Known: The Story of the Men Who First Spread the Religion of Jesus and of the Momentous Reviews
This is a third book in the trilogy on the Bible by Fulton Oursler. The first was the greatest story ever told, The second was the greatest book ever written and the third the greatest faith ever known by Fulton Orsler and his daughter, April. The first book in the series was the greatest story ever told about the life of Christ, The second book in the series was the greatest book ever written was about the Old Testament in the Bible. And the third book in the series the greatest faith ever known, is the story about Christian faith in the church after the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. This is a wonderful story of faith which encompasses all the lives of the disciples and the workers of the church, but largely dealing with the ministries Peter and Paul. I really enjoyed reading this book, Peter and Paul's ministry came to life in the pages of this book, as I was reading the words on the page I became aware that I was there walking in faith and talking and listening to the ministries of Peter and Paul. Reading the book brought me back to life, It made me realize how spiritually dead I have become and what I have been missing in the fellowship and walking with our Lord. If you want to take a journey back to Jerusalem and Rome and the evangelistic field that Peter and Paul walked, please read this book. This book is what I really needed to bring me back to feeling again and loving life. If you feel like you were missing something in life and feel a little numb, this book is for you.
Inspiring and worth the time. In historical novel form, this is Oursler's retelling of the Book of Acts, also utilizing extra-Biblical sources for additional background and understanding. Two things which most scholars would dispute: the Apostle Paul as the author of the letter to the Hebrews; and a last journey of Paul which included Gaul and Spain. Nevertheless, a recommended read!
Good, real, real good.
