Charlotte Blackwell is a legend. Enough said! No, I will write a proper review, but it's true, she is a legend. This book carries on after the events in book 2, but is very different as it is told from Ebony's point of view, not Sophia's. It was fresh to have a different point of view in the story and I really enjoyed it.Ebony is vastly becomming a powerful witch along with her sister Eliza, they spend there time between fighting off evil vampires or other monsters/demons, getting through high school, training their powers and spending time with their boyfriends and the Pierce family, life is full, sometimes complicated but going well, until everything starts to change. I don't want to give anything away, but this book is sooo good. It will give you an emotional roller coaster, make you laugh, make you cry and have you on the edge of your seat. I read it in about 3 hours, I couldn't put it down. All the favourite characters are still in it, you still see and hear from Sophia and the rest of the family and Caspian makes an appearance - YAY. I was surprised by some of the twists in this book but it made it so good. These books just have something about them that make you fall in love with them. The characters are like old friends and I love being swept into their world. If you haven't read book 1 yet, i suggest you find it and read it, then grab book 2 and so on. *taps foot* well go on - go get the books!

This book is told from Ebony’s point of view rather than Sophia’s, who happens to be her best friend. We hadn’t read the other two books when the author told us about this story. We decided to read the other two first to give this book it’s proper review. We were hooked from the first book Immortal Embrace and couldn’t wait to read the next.Mystic Embrace is fantastically written. The author knows exactly how to keep you hooked and wanting to continue reading. From page one we were put on a roller coaster of emotions. One minute we were laughing and the next crying. The twist and turns, which we will not reveal, kept us on the edge of our seats. We also love how the paranormal element is mixed with the lives of teenagers, who are dealing with the same issues any other teen would deal with. Ebony is a wonderfully written. You can feel her joy and pain. This book is much more than witches, vampires, and demons; it’s a story that can really touch your heart. The whole Embrace series is amazing and we cannot wait to read the next one, which by the way is already out and on our to-read list.

Wow, what can I say? I loved this book and thought that it would just be about the sisters that are witches but went beyond that. Charlotte has yet to let me down sitting on the edge of my seat and seeing the changes all of the families are going thru. I read this book as her other 2 in 1 day not able to put it down. The story held onto me tight and wouldn't let me go until I completed it. Knowing there are more to come of this series, I can't wait to see how everything goes with everyone. At one point, my heart sank from some of the things that had occured in the story but don't want to give anything away. Just a wonderful book. Can't wait for the next one.

So far I think this is the best book in this series. So let me tell you about it and then you can decide.Just by looking at the cover I could already tell that this book was going to be from Ebony's point of view and it was really well developed. After discovering that both she and her sister were The Magnificent ones they started to practice a lot with her grandmother, Miss Edwina, to improve and fulfill their destiny. Her goal? To destroy the demon that had killed their parents when their were young. But they weren't alone. A family of vampires had move to their city a year ago and they had became friends with them. The Pierce family were old friends who had known their ancestors and now they were going to become the rock that would support Eliza and Ebony after the sudden and tragic death of her grandmother. But more changes wer in their way, big changes. And Matt, Ebony'a boyfriend, was also completing his training as a Guardian and the only thing left for him to do was to die and in order to became the Guardian he was meant to be but what was Ebony going to do then? Would he return and be her Guardian or would he be force to protect other witch? And to complicate things more someone was coming after them and an unexpected baby was in her way... What else was going to happen next?!Personal opinion:One thing I can asure you: You won't get bored. It's impossible, really. To many things happen at the same time and you just have to keep turning pages.I loved that this book combined the supernatural with the live of group of teenagers that had to deal with life like every other person. They felt real, their emotions and their worries were also believable and I followed the plot in a very pleasant way.As I said before, so far the best of the series. And the ending leaves you happy and worried at the same time so, Charlotte, you did a really good job. I want to read the next one already.

You won't want to miss the Embrace series, by Charlotte Backwell! Where the first two books of the series pull you in from Sophia's point of view, the third book, Mystic Embrace, takes you in the direction of the old family of witches who help their vampire family to survive living in a human world. This book centers on Ebony, Sophia's best friend and is full of wonderful ancient ways, suprising twists, and old vampire who is a very powerful enemy.I love the Embrace series, was completely absorbed by the story and cannot wait to see where this series takes us next. I give Mystic Embrace 5 stars and highly recommend it. Lovers of ya paranormal romance, vampire lovers, and those who love witchy stories, you are in for a treat! This is a must read series!

Again, maybe a 3.5 stars on this one. I am starting to like the storyline a lot more, even with all the similarities to other books and TV shows. The one thing that puts me off is the writing style and the errors throughout. This book interested me much more than the previous two though. I really wish that the editing process was better because if so I think this book, at least, could have been really good. The twist of events toward the middle of the book, in addition to having this book from the witches perspective made this book vastly different than the first two in terms of interest level for me. I hope the fourth book is even better.

Wow-- a few things I did not expect to happen. Some real issues are presented in this book-- although because that is not what the book is about it is not covered in depth- but still touched on and made important. I like how this isn't all about vampires but other supes as well. Can't wait to read the next when Charlotte and Mary (Ting) cross over their characters from each of their respective series.

this is the 3rd boom in the series and I really hope there is another to atleast finish the story. This story is told by Ebony one of the worlds most powerful witches. Her best friend is Sophia from the first to books in the series. There is so much going on in his book it keeps you reading. My only complaint is the way the book ends, I hate cliff hangers. :)
