Now, however, there is only one tree left. It shows the importance of trees, not only because they are the lungs of the planet, but many animals depend on them for food, a home, etc. It also deals with prejudices: children should understand that if someone is different it isn't a bad thing. One Euro from the sale of each book goes towards the Squirrel Project, which aims to plant and maintain native trees in Spain. Due to the size of the images, the book is better suited to appliances with bigger screens, like tablets, not mobile phones....

the last tree Reviews
It’s not easy for an adult to review a children’s book. Frankly, I’m used to books that teach colors and letters. However, the subject of this book got me from page one. We open to find Anna the squirrel sitting in the last tree in all of Spain. As someone who actively supports organizations that fight deforestation, this book hit home. With the help of a white blackbird, Anna then influences other creatures to plant seeds and grow homes for themselves. There are other great messages as well, namely, just because someone looks a little different than you expect really means nothing.Note, it is written in British English. While this is certainly not a problem, sometimes Americans think British English sounds a little odd. This in no way detracted from my enjoyment, but it is nice to know going in.There are some great bonuses with this book. First, the author gives a link to his website where you can download some extras, such as pictures to color, to help your child connect deeper with the book and characters. However, the absolute best part of it all is that for each book sold, the author donates one Euro to the preservation of Spain’s native trees.I highly recommend The Last Tree for its fantastic story and lessons, cute characters that kids will want stuffed animals of, and the benefit it brings to the earth.*I received this book in exchange for an honest review.
A great book with an important environmental theme. Through this engaging story children will understand the impact of cutting down trees and how to make a contribution toward fixing the problem. A fun read for adults too!
