At the End of the Rainbow Reviews
The pictures in this child's book are complex, with many things for a child to seek out; most, but not all the pictures of outdoor scenes had a rainbow someplace in the picture. I was surprised that so many of the pictures were dark colors-- I guess I think of a child's book as having lots of primary colors. I was also somewhat surprised at the varied meter of the poems and the fact that they did not have the same or a similar pattern of rhyming, such as a,b,a,b or some variant thereof but often switched to a,a,b,b, or a,a,b,b,c or something else altogether. This will go to my three year old great-granddaughter for her assessment.
This book is just a collection of a variety of short rhymes but does not have much plot through out the entire book. I would just put this in the classroom library to read for fun or when working on poems in class.
(Downloaded for free from Amazon.co.uk)These were okay poems, nothing I particularly enjoyed though. Wouldn't want to read it a second time.
This is a book of poems for children, the pictures are colorful and cute! The poems are short and fun to read. This will be a great bedtime book.
I won this book in a goodreads giveaway. A cute little book of poems.
