This issue contained six stories by six different female authors, which makes it difficult to rate. One story, Stanet's, I absolutely loved. It was a wonderfully crafted story that drew me in and held me in its talons (Read the short story and you'll get my corny pun) until the last word was sung (Yes, another corny pun.). Alone, this story is a five. The other stories varied in quality and appeal, ranging from a 2 to a 4 star rating. I will read additional issues of this magazine, when available. The concept is great and the cover absolutely lovely.

Magic Indeed!I loved these stories! Each one was anew delight. The worlds were so vivid I was looking over my shoulder for a mob, or a zombie horde! Well played, ladies!

I was kind of disappointed by the first story in this (less because of the writing than the editing--there were several grammatical errors, and I don't think the author was successful in hacking down what was clearly a novel or novella-level concept into a short story), but fortunately none of the other stories had similar issues. My favorite stories from this collection were "Bang and a Whimper" and "Origin Story".
